Almost to my own surprise, embroidery is not dead after all. I find I can express myself in interesting ways through sitting quietly with thread and cloth in my lap. I am exploring the sort of free, non-technically brilliant work which I didn't have the confidence to do on my degree course. I anticipate these pieces continuing to happen alongside my other work.
